Dove Yellow Swans-Live During War Crimes 2

The second volume, this time a collection of darker and more sinister live recordings taken from their tour in Europe early 2006. 42 black minutes of creepy soundscapes painting a depressive picture of a world going down in dust and ashes. The 5 songs all has a weird desperate and dense apocalyptic feel to them, making this a haunting and very bleak experience. Trashy dark rumblings and total coldness. Again very well-edited stuff by Pete Swanson, works more like a full proper album than just a collection of random recordings. Amazing. Comes packaged in a Dual Plover full color sleeve with black felt. Cover drawings by Liz Harris of Grouper.

Poser Disposer - Waiting to Inhale LP (2006)

"Poser Disposer has a simple motto "get high or die tryin'." And its obvious they like to grind as much as they like weed...because this shit is NOT for whitebelts. Featuring ex-members of DFA (six weeks records) with duel vocals, flawless guitar work, and blasting drums make this release one of my more favorite albums as of late. Lyrically, they cover such topics as drugs, the war on drugs, how people getting fucked up on drugs is better than tv, their hatred for seagulls, their belief that theres no reason why punks shouldn't wash dishes, and more. Their 7" definitely had stronger lyrical content. But considering you can't tell what they're singing most of the time it doesn't matter. The music is right on, and very tight. Making for an enjoyable listen all the way through. I can't even count how many times I've spun this in the car or at home.
If you like your grindcore a little crusty, this is definitely for you! This band has yet to disappoint, and after hearing the new songs they're just getting better!!! So do yourself a favor, pick up one of their albums and take a poser or two out while you're at it."

Buried At Sea - She Lived For Others But Died For Us (2004)

"Clearly, Buried at Sea are on their own musical agenda – sowing equal parts doom, psyche and drone and reaping the void. The sound of colliding galaxies in slow motion as expressed though voice, percussion, synth and vast amounts of amplified frequency manipulation."

- Matthew Artman, HellrideMusic.com.

See http://www.hellridemusic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4030 for interview and review. Sorry the picture is so small, it's the only one i could find; shows some guys (one of which was one of the band's great-grandfather) dissecting a woman's body on a table with 'She lived for others but died for us' written on it.

Buried at Sea - Migration (2003)

"This album will most likely be the heaviest thing released this year. Buried at Sea's doom dirge is so thick, it will leave your jaw on the floor. This album is not for the weak of heart. It is filled with pure hatred. These 3 songs move at a snail's pace and I challenge any of you Southern Lord fanatics to tell me this ain't the heaviest shit around. This band is recommended if you like: Burning Witch, Khanate, Sunn0))), Neurosis, dot(.), Pelican, and Unearthly Trance. In other words, the heaviest of the heavies. All songs 10 plus minutes in length unfold slowly to envelope your mind and body."

The Austrasian Goat - "S/T" (2007) / Gates Of Slumber - "Like a Plague Upon the Land" (2005)

"The Goat incarnates a dark truth through the fragile humanity of the former SHALLNOTKILL guitarist/vocalist Julien Louvet, also behind the D.I.Y. 213 Records label - http://perso.orange.fr/213. Fear not though, this isn’t another of those superfluous one man project bands polluting the scene, but a must have for those dwelling in NORTT, XASTHUR and LEVIATHAN territory. The slow majesty of The Goat is comparable to that of SUMMONING’s, though its trance inducing, suffocating and despairing trot evokes abysmal visions rather than Midgardian landscapes...
“Faith is venom, hope is a snare, wait for nothing and enjoy decay...” "

"From Indiana, USA, here's a doom metal band for those who like their doom old school, Saint Vitus style. That is, like Black Sabbath but dragged down deeper into the mire. This ostensibly five-track ep (it's longer than that, due to several hidden bonus tracks) has got all the depressive atmosphere, widdly solos, guitar effects, anguished Wino-like vocals, and sledgehammer heaviness you desire. These guys are obviously dedicated doom fans first and foremost, and like their Finnish brethren Reverend Bizarre they do their influences proud, and they make it pretty obvious who those influences are. There's a cover of "Ask No More" by Pentagram, and one of the hidden tracks is a version of St. Vitus' "War Is Our Destiny"... And if this disc turns you into a fan of The Gates Of Slumber, they've helpfully provided a bonus embroidered TGOS patch for your denim vest! We'll be wearing ours proudly."
